CREDENTIALS SERVICES
The Marin County Office of Education (MCOE) serves as the local agency approved by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CCTC) to register the credentials of persons hired by Marin County school districts for positions requiring administrative, teaching, service, and special education credentials, as well as other permits and certificates. The Credentials office supports and assists school districts, certificated employees and credential applicants in the following:
- Credential Processing
- Countywide Substitute Teacher
- Registration
- CCTC Interface
- Legal Compliance
- Monitoring and Reporting
- Temporary County Certificates
Credential services are guided by the rules and regulations of the CCTC and defined in
California State Education Code.
