The Marin County Office of Education coordinates the Junior High County Spelling Bee Competition for grade 7-9 students. Students first participate in school spelling bees, and then advance to the county-level event. The countywide competition is open to two students from every private/public school in Marin County with grade 7-9 students who have been certified as school champions by their school coordinator. The first and second place winners from the County Championship will represent Marin County at the California State Junior High Spelling Championship at Miller Creek Middle School on May 12, 2012. |
